The name was given by Mr Salim Alamry the owner of the place .Salim tried to get a lovely memories from the past to the present by this name because  Roshan means a niche or a window or balcony. A traditional name for wooden decorations fixed on the windows of houses. They are characterized by artistic shapes that allow the sun and air to enter the house and block the view from the outside and this was one of the oldest building styles in the area. Salim”s old house used to have the (Roshan) but with the new building styles Roshan is not so common for the new generation he wants to share with you something from the past.

The Roshan hotel designed and operated by Mr Salim Alamry in Mirbat. after along journy of working outside of Oman in the ministry of foreign affairs  in many countires Tunisia,Moroco,Algeria,

Egypt and working in Oman air he decide to settle down in his home town Mirbat and established the Roshan hotel.
